Eggjarnar (or Skúvanøs) is a famous spot on the island of Suðuroy, from which you can enjoy spectacular views south to the Beinisvørð cliff and north to Vágseiði, the rugged Heltnarnar coastline and Lake Vágsvatn.
A navigation station was located here and served between 1943 and 1977, the remains of which are still visible today.
You can get almost to the top of Eggjarnar by car.
