Lake Bled is a popular destination in northwestern Slovenia. The beautiful water area, famous for its pictures of the lake with the island and the Church of the Assumption, attracts locals to live and tourists to visit.
On the eastern shore of the lake you will find the town of Bled, not far from it, high on the rocks, Bled Castle, on the western shore of the lake you will find a swimming beach and the famous viewpoints – Malá and Velká Osojnica.
The lake has a circumference of about 6 kilometres and can therefore be circumnavigated on foot in two hours.
