Bessvatnet is a lake in Jotunheimen National Park. Located below the Besseggen ridge, it is one of the most photographed lakes in Norway. The lake is almost 5 square kilometres and a footpath runs along its northern edge.
The lake can be reached either from the Memubur harbour or from Gjendesheim, either via the Besseggen ridge or directly from the car park by going up along the Bessa river.
