Boka

Boka Waterfall is one of the highest waterfalls in Slovenia. And if we count its lower part, when the water flows down the steep slope, it is even the highest waterfall in Slovenia, when it rushes from the rock ledge to a depth of 136 metres. It is roughly rectangular in shape and can be seen from the bridge that crosses the Boka River.

To get a better and closer look at the waterfall (but you can’t get to it directly), take the footpath from the car park by the bridge over the Boka River, which is about a kilometre east of the village of Bočic.

There are two possible routes, the more popular one runs along the western (right) bank of the Boka River. The path leads through the forest, it is relatively steep, when you will go up to the upper viewpoint for about an hour with an elevation gain of 470 meters. But you don’t have to go to the highest viewpoint to get a nice view of the waterfall, you can get a nice view of the Boka waterfall from the first viewpoint, which takes about 20 minutes.

In addition to the waterfall, you will often have a nice view of the Soca River valley.
