Drangarnir is a rock formation just about 100 metres west of Vágar Island. It actually consists of two rock formations, the smaller one is called Lítli Drangur and the larger one is called Stóri Drangur. Although it doesn’t look it from the photos, the Drangur Tower rises to a height of about 50 metres and when you stand only about 100 metres from it, it looks really impressive. It is also known for its characteristic hole and it is certainly one of the places sought after by landscape photographers.
The drive to the Drangarnir cliffs from Sørvágur village takes a good three hours and a guide is required.
