Holmshatten

Holmashatten is one of the peaks on the west coast of Norway along the famous Helgelandskysten road.

A good starting point is either the village of Holm or a small parking area for about 6 cars on the dirt road below the summit (65.181074,12.12808).

The summit of Holmshatten lies at 620 m above sea level, the start of the trail is at almost zero altitude. Nevertheless, the hike is very easy, it leads initially through forest growth, at a higher altitude the trees recede and you will go through an almost bare landscape with beautiful views.

The total length of the hike there and back is about 8 kilometres and you can make it up and down in about 3 hours.
