Hornidalsvatnet badeplass

Quite a small beach of sand and gravel with a gradual entrance to the water via a jetty near the northwest shore of Lake Hornindalsvatnet. The entrance to the water here is very gradual, so there is no sign of swimming in the deepest lake in Northern Europe.
Apart from very nice views around the shore, there is a forest right behind where you can hide from the afternoon sun. However, this swimming pool is only for short stops.
Don’t really expect any facilities like toilets, changing rooms, or perhaps a volleyball court, there is only one bench to sit on in the woods.

You can park here just by the swimming pool in the forest, there is space for about two to three cars.
