Jokkmokk (Sami: Johkamohkki) is a pretty town located right on the Arctic Circle in the northern part of Sweden. The name is Sami and is composed of the words for river and bend. There are four national parks in the vicinity of Jokkmokk, namely NP Sarek, NP Muddus, NP Padjelanta and NP Stora Sjöfallet.
