The hike to Måtind (405 m) starts at the end of the village of Stave on the island of Andøya, the northernmost island of the Vesterålen archipelago. The first 250 metres is quite a steep hike, but after that you have a long walk with beautiful views of the countryside and Høyvika beach.
The trip there and back is about 9 kilometres and can be done in about 4 hours. Along the way you will meet lots of sheep and a minimum of people.
