Kannflaget is exactly the kind of rest stop you’d imagine in Norway, and you’ll find it near Norway’s main connecting road, the E6. It is designed as a large asphalted rectangle, so it is intended for cars and caravans as well as motorhomes and trucks.
There are newly installed toilets where you have to use a payment card to enter, but nothing is taken off the card and it may not even be valid anymore.
There are several benches for your comfort.
If you take a walk just a few dozen metres through the forest, you will get a beautiful view of the fjord and the opposite mountains, which are forested at lower altitudes and bare at higher altitudes.
