Paulenfoss is a waterfall on the Otra River. The current shape of the waterfall is marked by the construction of the Kringsjå power plant, which was put into operation in 1900 (the remains of the Kringsjå power plant can be found nearby). The flow of the river is currently used by the Steinsfoss power station and usually not much water flows here, but there are exceptions.
The Tømmerrenna trail takes you to the Paulenfoss waterfall, and it’s worth coming here for that alone!
