Runde fyr lighthouse is located on the northern tip of Runde island. The first lighthouse at this location was already in operation in 1767 and was installed after many maritime disasters. The lighthouse has been fully automated since 2002, so it does not need human supervision and the surrounding houses are used as a tourist hostel for the DNT association.
Nearby is the ruin of one of the former lighthouses.
