Skarðsáfossur

Skarðsáfossur is a fairly unknown waterfall on the island of Vágar on the road between Bøur and Gásadalur. Even though it’s really close to the road, it’s not that easy to get to and if you don’t know about it, you won’t discover it by chance.

The waterfall almost invites to fall directly into the ocean waters, but the water levels would have to rise by a few meters. This way it falls on a black rocky beach and the place forms quite a pleasant romantic nook.

You can also see Skarðsáfossur waterfall from a distance from the opposite shore of Sørvágsfjørður fjord if you follow the path to Drangarnir and Tindhólmur.

Take me there!
