Slettnes fyr

The Slettnes fyr lighthouse lies far away in Norway and is the northernmost lighthouse on the European mainland on the shore of the Barents Sea at Cape Nordkinn and is the only cast iron lighthouse in the Finnmark area. The Slettnes Lighthouse has been a cultural monument since 1998 and can be found a few kilometres north of the village of Gamvik.

The Slettnes Lighthouse was built in 1905, during II. St. It was damaged during the war, but after the war it was repaired again. The lighthouse has been working for its purpose since 12. August to 24. April of the following year, because during the summer light nights its operation is not needed.
