The island of Svinö is only about 100 metres from Kalmar, except for the part over which the Olandsbron bridge connects the mainland to the island ÖThe land is an entire nature reserve. There are a few walks in the woods, a wetland in the middle of the island to enjoy, and several nice spots around the island to stop and rest in the shade of the trees.
There is also quite a popular beach on the island with a view of Olandsbron and the opposite island. Öland.
From the city, you can either drive to the local car park or use the wooden footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists, which is a smaller version of the Olandsbron road bridge.
