Tjurkö kvarn

The beautiful mill on the river Lilla Helge å can be found about 1 kilometre south of the village of Tjurkö. The mill has a long history, already in the chronicle from 1689 it is described as very old and at that time it had one millstone.

The current appearance of the mill with two stones corresponds to the state from 1864. The mill served its purpose until 1954. Even today, Tjurkö kvarn is fully operational.

If you drive here, watch out for the cat! The road sign does have a point.

And while you’re here, say hello to Cilla.
