Uttakleiv beach

The beach at Uttakleiv is one of the most iconic beaches in the Lofoten archipelago, both because of the large boulders right on the beach, and especially because of the mountain ridge on the other side of the Vestvågøya bay.

Uttakleiv is also a popular spot for photographing the Northern Lights, as the beach faces north.

As well as driving through the tunnel, you can also take the coastal path (now pedestrian only) to Haukland beach, past the Tåa islet and a slightly hidden picnic site.
