Vatnsdalsvatn is definitely the most romantic lake in the Faroe Islands, as it is shaped like a heart. You can find it on the Vágar Island and you really have to see it to deserve it. You can find the way to it from the road no. 54 approximately two-thirds of the way between Sørvágur and Bøur, it is straight and quite steep. You will cover a distance of about a kilometre and almost 1000 metres of altitude. And there’s no cable car.
