Trdnjava Predel is one of the six fortifications in Carinthia that can be found near the Predel Pass. The fort served its military purpose until 1880. Subsequently, Trdjava Predel was converted into a military depot until the end of the First World War.
After that, the place was no longer used in any way and so the ceilings collapsed and now only the outer walls are visible.
